equip
How do we equip indigenous leaders? We begin with helping to foster strong relationships between the Area office and the national programs and between nations. Then, we develop initiatives targeted to the needs of our Asia Pacific Area. Currently we have the following initiatives in progress:
Equipping indigenous leaders is a primary focus of the YFC Asia Pacific Area office. We have developed an extensive Leadership Development Model that all our initiatives follow. Briefly, when we consider leadership development, we want to equip our leaders:
- With strong character that:
- Has a Heart for God
- Has a clear calling and vision from God.
- Has a heart for young People
- Is maturing personally
- To maintain healthy relationships with family, spouse, and friends
- In leadership so that they:
- Lead like Jesus
- Can Manage well
- Skillfully lead people
- In Evangelism so that each leader:
- Is passionate and sensitive about evangelism.
- Is aware of the world and sees trends in today's generation.
- In Kingdom Seeking so that each leader
- Has a heart for the growth of the Body of Christ.
- Seeks the kingdom and not their own.
